As our ERASMUS project draws to a close, the HERCoN final conference will take place in Brussels on 13 October 2026. Under the motto “Building Bridges to Higher Education: Advancing Education Pathways for Refugees,” it will bring together policymakers, universities, civil society organizations and displaced students to explore how Europe can expand access to higher education for refugees.
The morning session at the European Parliament will focus on Erasmus+ and its role in supporting displaced learners. The afternoon will highlight practical experiences from the HERCoN project, sharing lessons and recommendations for strengthening education pathways.
Nexus 3.0 is proud that one of our students, M. Saber, will speak at the European Parliament during the event, sharing her experience and aspirations.
Discover her story, “From shadows to Hope”—her journey towards education, freedom and a new future in Portugal.
Read more about her and her story on our website.
This closing event will be an opportunity to reflect on HERCoN’s results and consider how to carry its work forward.
Interested in joining us? Places are limited, so we encourage participants to register their interest in advance.
